My wife often goes hours without replying, usually it’s ok sometimes it makes me crazy. ie 11:37am “Are you picking daughter up from school or am I?” Hours will pass, no reply, I’ll ask three more times. I’ll call at 1:45 no answer. I’ll leave work early to pick up our daughter from school and finally get a reply as I’m pulling into the parking lot at school at 2:20. “I just picked her up” She doesn’t understand my disgust.

Have you tried saying "you're picking her up from school today." People are usually more likely to respond when they don't want to be bossed around

She does like to poke the bear! She definitely doesn’t like when I delegate chores to her like she’s one of my coworkers.
