Having to ‘make decisions’ for them about their well-being and seeing the look of resignation on their faces as they accept that they’re now the child and you’ve become the parent.

Finding a photo from when you were a kid and realize that you never noticed it, but they've changed a lot. Seing them look at each other or at their own aged skin and tear up. Seing them weaker than they used to be, watching them open Christmas present at 7pm instead of midnight like they used to, or go to bed at 9pm on New Years Eve, hearing your dad admit for the first time that he's tired or that his back hurts, seing him cry for the first time inyour entire life, hearing your mom stating that she has 20 years tops ahead of her, or noticing that she's trying her best to spend more than 2 hours outside but she's really doing it for you and she's exhausted. I'm crying while typing this, shit.
