Well sometimes their eyes look kinda weird so they wear shades so people aren’t weirded out

It's mostly a social thing nowadays. It's a decent indicator that they're blind without awkward questions.

Some blind people are not fully blind some see a super bright light so the sunglasses help. My great uncle had that.
