I kind of feel like this analogy doesn’t work as well with climate change. ‘Your success is an iceberg - it’s slowly melting away’ just doesn’t have the same appeal.

You forget the most important part: Luck. What was mentioned in the post is important, but if you're not lucky enough then you'll be just another failure. For every sucessful person, there are tens of thousands who failed.
