My dog licks his ankles ... Alot. Causing the same thing. SO he's not allowed on our pillows we put our faces on and we cover the couch with a blanket. He's a 13 year old Toy Poodle. I'll be Damned if he's going to lick my pillows all day!

My dog does that on my brothers leather couch. I think she might like the texture or something.
