As a generality in our present society one must take several factors into consideration. Firstly, as a general rule most men will climax very easily, almost 100% of the time where no medical issues exist. Women report climaxing at much lower percentages even when self stimulating. That means it is far harder for a woman to find a sexual partner who is satisfying than for men to find a sexual partner who offers at least basic sexual gratification. That means that women often don’t need as many “tricks” or skills as men do to satisfy a partner. In fact a woman a man finds particularly attractive could possibly make him climax easily without even touching him. So we know that I’m general women are harder to please, and men are easier to get. Therefore the main value placed in having a man in society isn’t on his penis but on his abilities as a partner. A “good” man is held in higher regard than a “good” dick.....

For a woman, sexual gratification inabscence of emotional context tends to be less assured, so a partner enerslly has to have excellent tools of seduction such as charm or looks to make casual sex potentially “worth it” for a woman. Therefore- in a current society where women largely see sex as a gateway to relationships, and men largely see relationships as a gateway to sex, and where we can generally agree it is easier (in absence or reduction of standards) for most women to find a man who will have sex with them than most men to find a random woman to have sexual with them- there is no challenge in trying dick, and the odds of orgasm with a random partner are lower for women, and so there is no real imperative to feel competitive about...

... the simple act of having sex, versus the competitive desire to keep a quality sexual partner of one finds one. Coupled with a social paradigm that a woman who exercises her sexual desires with partners as being a “slut,” we have a recipe where a toy is the only socially acceptable outlet for a woman to seek selfish sexual gratification where as society has normalized all casual sexual relations with men as being for self gratification and a man’s “value” is often judged by his ability to “conquest” women die to the skills and resources required. It’s a form of conspicuous consumption in a society that commoditizes women. Of course one shouldn’t feel shame for maintaining their sexual health and happiness. If a flesh light is what you need then by all means, go for it.
