Isn’t this the whole issue with Asia Argento in the #metoo movement, though? Her past actions with a 17-year old boy hurt her credibility in claiming that she was a victim of sexual assault by Harvey Weinstein. In this case, I don’t think ‘embracing’ taking advantage of a minor supports her cause. Now, I’m not saying that you shouldn’t speak out against injustice. But depending on the skeletons in your closet, I think you really need to be mindful of the ‘bad thing’ you’ve done in the past. And how - or whether - you announce it to the public can impact your ability to fight against it in the future.
Unless it's child abuse, if you've done that before, no amount of 'advocating against it' will change what you've done, you're always going to be a child abusing piece of human filth!
Speaking from experience as the father of a victim, said abuser has had nearly eight years and hasn't changed a bit, which is exactly why said abuser is not allowed within 50 feet of any child without supervision.
@mrdad101 This is awful. And one of those things where no matter what you say it can never be enough. I’m sorry that happened to your child. I wish you and your family never had to go through that. I hope you get any closure and satisfaction about this that you need in life.
