Could be on a highway where walking/biking isn't allowed

I used to live what was about a 5-10 minute drive from my work. Unfortunately my work was also at the top of a fairly long, steep hill, and a rather dangerous intersection for pedestrians. Walking to work turned it into a 30-45 minute trip (which could easily get worse in the winter when the sidewalks were covered in ice, it's dark by 4pm, and the drivers are terrifying), followed by usually 7 hours of standing or physical activity. I also occasionally worked night shifts which could mean leaving at 10pm-12am, and while it wasn't a super dangerous neighbourhood, there were sometime shady people hanging about. Also, spring meant crow attacks. So more often than not id end up falling back on vehicular transportation
