You should go. And if you show up with two six packs and some chips then just walk inside asking ‘where’s the bathroom’ as you hand them your treats at the door, you might have good odds of being able to stay.

Well, assuming it was people he actually knew that might work. However if the beach house owner doesn’t know about the meetup how do they get in?

Hmm, good question. I got from the ‘meet at my beach house’ that the owner was sending the message thus would be at his own party. It sounds like they’re all from the same uni if not the same class. I’m not in college but if some guy who I at least recognized by face showed up at a party of mine and he didn’t come empty-handed, I’d let him in. Hell, even if I didn’t know him and he had a twelver and an acceptable level of crazy, I’d probably let him in, too. But that’s just me.

I think the crux of what’s evil about it is that they thought he was the beach house owner and he sent them there with no way to get in. It does make sense that they know each other to some extent otherwise how would the OP know that they were asking him about the house. If it was a bunch of anonymous phone numbers I would think he would assume it was someone else in the group.

And now I get it completely. I thought this was another bad English meme.
