Has this man been to Oregon? I mean- besides like Portland or Eugene or maybe Sisters? Oregon has over 26% gun ownership. Now- that puts it in the mid 30’s on gun ownership by state- BUT, consider that The majority of the population of Oregon live in it’s urban centers, which are few and far between, and tend to have gun ownership in the single digits. The state is dotted with small towns of far less than 100,000 people. That means that outside these urban centers you’ll find small towns with concealed carry or gunnownership well above 50%. It’s a big hunting state, and the older residents tended to be very gun friendly. I don’t think as a state Oregon is a good example for this joke, the more remote parts of the state could pass for a juniper ridden mad max stand in, or in essence the before image of the town from Rambo. Oregon isn’t all starving artists and hippie communes- it’s a pretty diverse state even if that diversity exists in enclaves.
