in cherokee the word for water and the word for salt are
ama and ama. (pronounced aw-maw and aw-maw)
The only way to differentiate between the two is that with salt you say the "a" sound for less than a second longer.
the difference being that read/read are forms of the same word and lead/lead are two different parts of speech. You won't see anything more complex words being the same word wise than that. Many many many many other languages are more complex with such. The only thing that makes english hard to learn is the slang and the odd stolen word.
