Actually, contrary to popular belief, many French people are welcoming to those learning French- although sometimes not if they feel you aren’t making a genuine effort (such as just using google translate for everything...) Many times it can be hard to understand non fluent people speaking a language poorly or with accents or pronunciations that aren’t what a native would use. Especially in more trafficked areas it’s common to find French people who speak English well, and they may use English just to practice theirs, or to be polite if they feel you are struggling with French. Sure, some people are jerks- and yes, imagine working at a retail location and having your 1,000th conversation with someone who keeps asking “why are potatoes blue” or some nonsense, or speaks like they had an aneurism- you may get frustrated or fed up. But for the most part the French love theor language and are happy when people learn it. They don’t generally expect you to be fluent but at least competent.
I rather people talk to me in English so we both understand to people attempt to talk to me in Vietnamese
Because Vietnamese is freaking difficult, it's an Asian language that's written in Latin, the pronounciation is almost like the mixture of Chinese, Japanese and French
I appreciate your effort in learning such an unpopular language
But I'm not your teacher or do I have the duty/ responsibility to help you practice.
So just use English
My English maybe bad but it's surely better than your Vietnamese
