1of my brothers suffer from extreme anxiety and recently had a traumatic experience that almost through him into agoraphobia. So he went to a psychiatrist. She told him that many people who suffer from anxiety just can not stand up for themselves against themselves. They doubt themselves so much that it cripples them and makes it hard to do anything. So she made him practice at first telling his self when thoughts of doubt come up to tell his self to shut up like it is a different person. Than she told him to start arguing with it. Not letting it win. Last she told him to never ignore it. Because ignoreing it will not get it to go away.
It worked for him he is doing so great now he has a job and a gf. Which is a HUGE shock for us lol.
