I very much prefer killing the enemy over being elbow deep in my battle buddy's guts trying to hold pressure on a GSW to his aorta in spite of all my training telling me that he's already too far gone.
Is that reasonable?
Working on that right now, but it's a process with a long waiting period and a high first-time failure rate.
I volunteered to be a Ranger (Army Spec Ops), but first I have to get MOS-Q (job qualified) in an MOS (job) that the 75th Ranger Regiment wants. I picked 68W (Combat Medic) over 11B (Infantry) because as much as I want to be a door-kicker, I would rather have the know-how to save my friends if worse comes to worst.
If I make it through selection they'll train me to be a top tier warfighter while putting me through a shit-ton of additional medical training.
If I make it through the entire process, I'll basically be the love child of John Wick and a trauma surgeon.
