I broke my phone because of a fake pocket once. They were designed to be my new favorite jeans because they were very comfortable. So the first time wearing them I was at work and had to go get something quickly so I stand up, "put my phone away", and start walking only for my phone to hit the floor since I tried to put it in a fake pocket

How else would they sell purse to women?

it's because designers want women to buy the purses and handbags instead of using pockets, also it's harder to make bigger pockets for women

It not that hard to put bigger pockets on women's pants. I always sew on bigger pockets onto all of mine and it works just fine. Granted I wear regular/loose fit jeans so I don't know how well it'd work on skinny jeans.
