I’m positive that my house is haunted. It’s one hundredth birthday is coming up soon. I know at least one person has died in here because I sometimes smell very strong floral perfume in my living room and I feel a breeze blow past me and the temperature drops like ten degrees in a second. It takes less than a minute to go back to the original temperature. I think my ghost is that of an elderly lady who must have passed away in my home in the 90s or late 80s. I know she is a friendly, harmless ghost because I do not feel scared when she walks by me. I know that she won’t hurt me or my family, so when I feel her in the room with me, I just smile and say “Hi, grandmother!” and ask her how she’s doing. I never get a response but I want to ask just in case. I think she must have either died in the living room or in the master bedroom. Both rooms seem to have a lot of activity, but the guest room has energy, too, but not the good kind. I think something very bad must have happened in that

room because the hair on the back of my neck and arms always stands on end when I go in there, and not because of the cold, even though it’s always freezing cold in there year round. I hate that room and I never ever go in there because it makes my stomach hurt so bad. I just KNOW something terrible happened in there. When I was very young I was sleeping in there when relatives slept in my room and I heard breathing coming from the corner of the room. Still scares the shit out of me years later. I’m getting scared just writing this. Grandmother Ghost, please protect me!

All three of the houses I've lived in (not counting my apartment when I lived near the national capital) have been haunted to some extent. In my birth home my grandfather died in what became my bedroom, that room always had footsteps at 2:25 am and any desk lamps (or the overhead light if none) would turn on for a minute. My second house which had a roughly 100+ year old bed in the attic, if you cuss (even silently) near that bed you will get scratched or hit, and the door to that attic despite having two different clasps holing it shut, one that slides and one that latches, will pop open three times a year. Current house has random knocks and analog clocks (even new ones) shift time randomly.

Today my idiotic poltergeist threw newly bought bundle of bananas from the counter opposite to me, to land at the other end of room, as I was pouring water in my glass. I didn't even flinch, simply said ''fuck of Jim, it's bloody 7am, I'm not in the mood for this shit''.

My ghost likes to stare at me in the middle of the night until I wake. So annoying. I usually give a startle scream, but I'm not afraid of it.
