Yeah...... no. Not even remotely likely. Some journalists might have the mathematic ability... but you’re going to learn all the technical skills required to understand multiple languages, design logic, use various programs, version control, audit compliance...
In the last decade or so we have seen self produced, untrained, and completely incompetent people use social media and video sharing to become celebrities of journalism. People who know nothing about journalism except how to be charismatic. Now- how many programmers can get by without even a basic grasp of what they are doing and just the desire to be in the spot light?
Crap. That’s the same way I blew my interview at Fox News. CNN chased me out of the building after I told them that a 1982 sighting of Donald Trump at a blood bank wasn’t “slam dunk proof that the man is a vampire who thirsts for the blood of children.” I guess I’m not cut out for journalism.
