Yeah. Just last month I had to decide if I wanted to buy a couch, or 4 decent drones. I kinda needed a place to sit and my new living room looked really empty so I bought the couch. This week I’m debating buying an electric bike or motorcycle to commute on, or buying 4 cows. I’m leaning towards the 2 wheeled transportation- because the cost is really kinda an ignorant thing to fixate on versus buying the thing I actually need and want. Like- I can’t run steam on my phone, and it’s much harder to compile and test huge programs on a little screen... so if I wanted that I’d buy the computer. Of course- it’s much harder to jump in my car carrying a desk top PC and get turn by turn directions to the mall, and your back would probably hurt pretty bad carrying around a desktop and a generator to make VOIP calls and watch movies or browse while walking around all day. So it’s likely that those two things are meant for completely different things, and comparing them is like asking....

.... “My house burned down but I don’t want to be an idiot. Should I buy a new house, or 600,000 beanie babies?” Well... use your best judgment there buddy. I’m confident you’ll make the choice that is right for you.

Cows are illegal in S.F., making your entire argument invalid.
