I had great parents but with 6 of us kids they we're always tired or working. So when I was little and asking about things like why is the sky blue their answer was "I don't know."
When my daughter was at that age of asking questions my response to her was. "I don't know but let's look it up and see why."
And we did I would look up the answers to things she wanted to know that I didn't know.
My parents was not bad parents. They just didn't have the time to spend looking up answers in an age where going online took an hour to set up.
Now with the world in our pockets we can get an answer in a second.
So next time a kid ask you why the sky is blue look the answer up with them.
Because I doubt you will memorise this post lol but hopefully you will remember my comment.
But then did you look up what Rayleigh scattering is!? O_o I do what you do with your daughter with myself instead and honestly, I can start reading for hours just going deeper or on tangents that get interesting.
I look up stuff all the time I will hear or see something and I be like "Huh? That seems interesting." And I go look it up. A week ago I looked up and learned all about Queen Catherine the Great. Because I was watching a show that happen to just mention her by name.
Yesterday I looked up Ancient Greece and their plumbing lol because I saw a weird commercial about toliets and it made me think about what I learned about how in Ancient Greece they used a sponge on a stick for toilet paper. And some times shared it. EWWWW lol
I looked up stuff like what rings of Saturn are made of to what a caveman probably ate. I love to learn. And it probably was due to my need to know what I don't know.
No, it would overpower it and it would look... velvet or crimson... and then you'd have well over 10,000 women babbling about my distinction. Anatomical fact: Women have far more color receptors in their eyes than men.
I did know that women were far more likely than men to be tetrachromat. Is that what you mean? Or do you mean they have more of the three usual types of cones?
No, I mean they have WAY more color receptors, not more types of cones, although, yeah, they are also more likely to be tetrachromatic. It's evolutionary, most likely due to the hunter vs gatherer nature between sexes.
