Most of the time, hotels have to change their complimentary toiletries for the next guest anyways (for hygiene purposes). I think this is their way of making sure it doesn’t have to go straight into the bin.

I take them so anytime I’m on a short trip or overnight somewhere and I need my toiletries, it saves me packing big bottles of shampoo or bar soap.

Yeah, if only there were little single packs of toiletries. where you're going... also you can buy tiny packs of proper toiletries in every drugstore, that don't smell like Eau de Hooker and/or will cause skin rash and hair loss.

I've never had that happen from hotel toiletries and they don't smell that bad. What kind of hotels do you stay in?
