they have also broken a lot of cheap connectors and in the case of rather short cables and larger speeds whipped the person that dropped the phone when it either broke or disconnected

Uhhh... I don’t know what kind of experience you’ve had but my headphones have been saving my phone for ages (falling off countertops, out of my pocket, etc.) and they still work. They’re not apple brand, of course.

Agreed, I love the wire, it saved my phone from being stolen once.
