Perhaps. But perhaps the closest we humans can get to a “meaning for life” is whatever meaning we decide to give life. If you see your life as nothing but distractions and pointlessness- then that is what it will be until or if you decide otherwise. However the idea is most unlikely. Consider that you only have the luxury of these distractions if you are well off and live where technology and infrastructure allow it. In “nature” human beings would spend a good deal of their time traveling, hunting, gathering, doing all the tasks they need in order to survive. Most of us are far removed from a life where we must spend most of our days directly tending our survival. We perform work for currrenct we exchange for things we need to survive, or we rely on others who do that for us. When you are busy surviving you don’t have time to allow distractions- life is a series of challenges against nature to survive another minute. So “life” in general would not likely have that purpose- your life...

... that may be true as you may have enough free time and so few worries that you can just distract yourself all day. However if you have time for distraction you have time for other things, so your life can be about whatever you choose to place value and dedicate your time to doing. It’s also important to realize that whatever we think our life is about- doesn’t have to be what other people’s lives are about.
