My husband had to work on Thanksgiving and he works at Staples lol. No one showed up I MEAN NO ONE!!! The boss said "Seriously??? No sales for the day???" My husband said "That is because no one is sitting at their dinner table surrounded by family and friends about to chow down on some turkey and stuffing than go OH SHIT I NEED PRINTER INK RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!"
If I found it in me to immediately possess a paperclip on Thanksgiving, I'd thank that dudeman for being there.... and then for however many Thanksgivings after, it'll be referenced as project paperclip.
It amazes me how people do that crap. One Christmas Eve we were trying to close (because it was 10 minutes after closing time) and this guy that was “just looking” wouldn’t leave. So finally he approached us and was like, “where’s your Christmas spirit?” And I couldn’t hold back... “it’s at home with our families.” Then he didn’t want to talk to us. Not that he left, he had to finish “just looking.”
