Throw him across the room at the cashier's face, then take the sauce and run away screaming. You have to do this BEFORE completing the 'toad alliance' quest, however, else you won't be able to bring any harm upon him. Many people are unable to complete this quest because there's no indicators that the toad alliance quest will lock you out, and this quest appears after it.
