I look at this post and think “Haha stupid gen z kids, making a fool of my generation” but I realize that I don’t actually know this either. I think it can be done with the computer and probably some program but I don’t know that for certain. Anyone want to educate a gen z kid? I feel like I should know this

Burning a CD is one of those things that sounds harder than it is because of the terminology.
Like, burning a CD sounds cool and old-school and by extension kids today will think that sounds hard when really it's just an early 2000s version of copying music onto a flash drive.

And it's even cooler knowing how it's done and the literal process involved with the transference of data onto a CD.
The only time I used Windows Media Players was to move my illegally downloaded songs from Limewire or Kazaa or Napster to it, create a playlist, then move that to the cd. The burning process just takes longer than moving it to an iPod.
I used to use Nero to burn my CDs. For the longest time we didn't have the CD drive that would be able to read and burn DVDs. When we bought a newer CD drive it was a liberating experience. I don't reckon many people will know that feeling nowadays
look, I'm perfectly fine with learning how to do stuff, but I'm not just gonna sit back and watch my entire generation be insulted by a group of people who skrewed up the economy, and then have them make fun of us for not knowing how to do stuff they didn't teach us, when the only reason they didn't teach us how to do it was becuase they were to busy making fun of us. I've learned how to do plenty of stuff, but i'm still upset about older people complaning about us not knowing how to do stuff, then getting mad when we try to. it's not about knowing stuff, it's about the ignorance they all show, as they fail to see whats wrong with that.

You would have sounded a lot more coherent if you had left this out.
