Both your children and your pets need adequate medical care which includes the recommended vaccinations at the recommended time as directed by a medical professional. Both your children and your pets need adequate dietary intake for their age and species. For dogs and cats this needs to include a fair amount of meat. For children it must include a fair amount of protein, iron, vitamins A, B and D, and Omega 3. Most humans get many if these needs meet by consuming meat. Any human that chooses not to consume meat should be particularly careful to make sure they are consumed in adequate amounts. If you are responsible for a child it is your job to ensure said child eats adequate food to get the nutrients the child needs. This is significantly easier to do allowing your child to eat some meat.
Children benefit from having pets. Studies have shown childhood pet owners are less likely to develop common allergies, have fewer doctor visits, and have better overall mental health than others.
I never said they did. I said allowing them to eat meat makes it easier to meet their nutritional needs. And I said that parents have the responsibility to make sure their nutritional needs are meet. "Easier" =/= "Nessicary "
