It was a HUGE deal, and so tragic. She was actually pregnant when she was convicted and she ended up having to give birth in prison with everyone thinking she had murdered her previous infant. So not only did loose one baby, but missed out on the first 3 years of her next child's life, as well as loosing time with her older children.

It was pretty darn awful so now it's a common Australian phrase by saying dingos will eat your baby
