Do whole trains really get delayed just for some turtles?

They can cause huge delays by getting squashed on the tracks and such. I'm not sure if this causes issues for the train itself or just humane issues. They also get stuck in the track which causes problems.

Ok but at the end of that tunnel there is no where for them to go. They can't climb up.
