Lol @catfluff I’m fine. Series of unfortunate events which you just can’t forecast for, and I’m working 100+ hours a week for the next 6-8, which is hard, but I’m ok.
Really, I’m fine. I bumped into some people downtown who I fell out with a couple years ago. It takes me 1 hour 1-way to get to my new, second job, and that eats up my weekends. I’m just physically and mentally exhausted, and it’s kind of kicking me when I’m down, but this is life. It’s always darkest before the dawn, and I’m just waiting to see sunlight again :)

How are you doing friendo?
I'm holding up, sorta. Had a nice weekend - went surfing for the first time and I discovered new muscles, also burnt to frizzles.
We are on stage 4 power cuts, so about three sessions of two to two-and-a-half of power cuts per day. All signal is fucked and WiFi also takes forever, we have taken two hours now to download 87.6/192 Mb, and another power outage is due in fifteen to thirty minutes.
.
It was also pokemon go legendary raids this weekend, and my friends and I went raiding, however my game kept crashing, thus making me spend 4 raid passes, and despite my friends winning three of them with me, I didn't get to catch it because my game told me I haven't defeated it, however I still had the pass to do the raid, but nobody to do it with since they literally just won it with me. The other pass was wasted because they had to quit when I crashed too much and we would've just spent more items needlessly since we weren't strong enough without me, and the raid expired immediately after.
Basically, minor annoyances but that means no major issues.

Thats very good to hear. Surfing sounds fun. And whyyyy, I thought South Africa was reasonably developed? All of the rest of your annoyances honestly sound unbearable - but maybe I’m being too first world.
In theory, we are.
However, Eskom, our power supplier, really sucks at doing its job. They always blame it on some stupid reason, like "it's apartheid's fault" or "we don't have enough coal" (we do) or basically anything but it being due to shitty management, lack of maintenance, corruption, and not having planned properly for a developing country - apparently they just assumed we be able to generate enough power using the old stations built during apartheid, and that they don't really need to build more. I don't really know the full story, but that's the gist I heard from it.
In short, we have too little power generated for the country due to corruption and a plethora of other issues, hence we have to get a lot of our electricity from Mozambique.
Since they recently had a cyclone, our supply from them have encountered issues, and since Eskom can't provide either, we are stuck on massive loadshedding schedules.
I'm assuming the signal issues play part from that aspect.
As to internet speed, we are getting fibre in some areas, but proper internet or data is still hella expensive, and considered a luxury item rather. Netflix and chill is quite the thing of some upper-middle class families, but not even all of them either, the combined expenses are deemed unnecessary and frivolous.
