Yeah but it also feeds already over inflated egos, encourages mediocrity and allows stupidity to be broadcast globally. I'm all for the spread of information and sharing talent but the amount of pointless drivel on the internet makes me weep for the future.

Was going to say the same thing. While it's awesome that anyone can publish anything, anywhere, it also promotes dangerous nonsensical fake news. And while that's not really a problem in itself, the problem is stupid people believing anything they read or see that fits their narrow-minded view of the world. Even worse is people making money off of that.
