Support is actually being happy when you see a gay couple or try to do things to help them
.
@famousone is talking about people that dont really approve or disapprove because it doesnt affect them and therefore dont care. They simply mind their own business

Why you're bringing "support" into this, who mentioned that? I'd like to know the difference between being "pro gay marriage" and not caring what two adults get up to. Not caring what adults agree upon for me means being pro gay marriage, but I'd like to know what it means for him. The "consenting adults" gives this an odd connotation.
It means "I'm not gonna get in your way, but I'm not gonna change my profile pic to a rainbow either".
"Consenting adults" to encompass that both parties should be age of majority at least, both must be of sound mind, and I don't particularly care whether it's two men, women, more, fewer, or any combination thereof.
So long as everyone's happy and there's no reason to suspect coercion, then there's no reason for big brother or the masses to do anything more than butt out.
When I said support that meant from family. If you're a parent and your kid comes out as gay, then you should support them and not disown them like some parents do.
My kid comes out? No problem. I'll try and give good relationship advice if the opportunity arises. Preferably in the most mortifying and embarrassing manner possible.
My family is much the same.
Now, if anyone else takes issue with my child? Too easy: they'll keep it to themselves, or I'll start having some real fun.

For you, being pro gay marriage means flying a rainbow flag? Why mention all this about consent at all? In your mind, is heterosexual marriage any different from gay marriage, as you say you don't "particularly" care, implying you care a bit, just not that much? While you mention age of majority, you're aware that there is a super wide bandwidth within the USA. Should that apply to gay marriages too? Would you also have "some real fun" (insinuating you'd physically attack another person for "taking issues") if it was about a friends child? Or a child you don't know? I'm asking all this because you keep on pretending you couldn't care less, when it's obvious somehow that you do. ,
You really are overanalyzing bud... seems like you're getting really invested in this and splitting hairs on verbiage. I'm all for being passionate about what you believe in but I think you're trying to fight a nonexistent argument here.

If that thing with the words is too complicated for you, what are you even doing here?
My condescension is at the bare minimum, it just naturally appears to some people as exaggerated. As it is really not, I'm not going to elaborate this.
I'm usually against simplifying complex issues like that... but this one hits the nail on the head. Though I'd substitute "Republicans" with "Fundamentalist Christian conservatives" because not all Republicans are "muh family values, muh Bahble, muh second amendment" nutjobs. But I suppose it's the Twitter character limit that's at fault.

Not all republicans are like that but a pretty solid majority of them support Trump.

Nope, not at all. Respecting the office and supporting the person in it are different things. Most of the latest polls show a large number of Republicans disagreeing on a multitude of legislative and executive policies from Trump.
