Damn this show still gives me those creepy vibes

It makes more sense if you look at the show as being seen through Courage's eyes. They're not really in the middle of nowhere but that's how Courage see's it. So this ^^ makes sense given this context. It's also why Muriel is so strong and why there are seemingly monsters everywhere that only Courage can see. He's a little dog in a big world.

Yeah that's why I never really liked this show. It always gave me nightmares.
