2 month baby- 9 month gestation. Implantation of embryo can take time. The baby was conceived a minimum of 11-12 months ago. So if the father and mother had sexual relations around 11-12 months from the date of the picture, the soldier could be the father. A combat deployment is supposed to be 12 months max. However recent times have seen 18 month deployments to conflict zones for inability to relieve troops. A 2 year deployment to a conflict zone is... almost unheard of and would most likely belong to either a highly specialized role or some black bag stuff if at all. If you’re STATIONED overseas the AOA determines the length. Those can be in the range of 36 months or more- like being stationed in Japan or Germany. However many factors may influence wether you and your family are able or choose to move with you when deployed- so it ain’t impossible for
Someone to ship out for a couple years and not take the family.
Your rank, specialty, and many things factor in- but in the military you might change locations often or not. If a spouse is in a good place with housing and career and a support network like friends and family- they may not want to move. Housing available or allowances are more or less favorable depending on where they go. Likewise- it can be expensive. There are other challenges to moving or “PCS” too I won’t go into. Now- if you aren’t “combat deployed” but are simply stationed in a far away place- you do get leave time and can get passes. Your family can usually visit too- so not living together for years wouldn’t mean not seeing each other for years necessarily. So IMHO it is possible that this soldier would have a “2 year deployment” depending on what type of deployment we are discussing- but it is also possible they are the father. It is possible to not see a spouse for 2 years- say you enlist and then combat deploy for 18 months... but not conclusive.
I'mma go ahead and add the woosh for myself because didn't even think about the meme being about him not being the father of the baby. Just thought the first guest was saying the baby has probably seen him before
Questions were asked. Questions were answered as best able. That’s... sort of how conversations work... people say things and others respond, repeat. If you didn’t want to read anything except the joke- why did you check the comments?
