My exchange student loves to say bro. The word "bro" sounds so weird in a Russian accent.

Experiences may differ. In my own, there isn’t such a hard blurring between groups and colloquialisms which once served a niche sub culture are used by all types of people. But I have no idea what “talk normal” is for anyone let alone what “talking normal” is for a woman. I don’t find many people using terms like “bro” around the board table or at conferences and symposiums-nor do I find many school age peer groups conversing as if they are in a professional office. I also don’t find many people speaking the way an English textbook would structure conversation. Amongst various ages and professions and sub cultures exist slang and jargon, and we all use or mix or invent it as we go along. So I have no idea what someone sounds like “talking normal” as people tend to speak in very different ways and context also can change that. People just speak “naturally” for themselves when they feel free to.

No I’ll intent was inferred from or intended towards you, and my reply still applies. But I appreciate you opening the line of communication to shore up any misunderstandings there could have been.
