Do they service semis as well? I don't know a lot about Texas, are there just a shitload of people passing through and not that many stations?

No, they actually have a no 18-wheeler policy. There are a lot of gas stations but Buc-ee's has a lot of cool stuff inside and as @celticrose mentioned, super clean restrooms. They cater to the road tripper and not as much towards the truckers like most of the other gas stations seem to do. They used to be in small towns along the highway but they've been popping up in bigger cities lately

And there's that many people passing through? I used to think the 26 pump speedways were a bit much but this is far beyond that

You have to remember how friggin HUGE Tx is. And I10 cuts straight through, so anyone driving cross country as well as cross state usually uses I10. And travelers will make a point of stopping at Bucees.
