i wonder if life insurance companies in a universe where magic is known to exist for a fact would cover death by malicious magic

Huh. It’s a good question. Some insurance policies hold clauses against extraterrestrial acts, acts of war, and acts of terrorism, as well as some sort of “acts of god” clause- which has nothing to do with “god” but is more of a catch all for things that can’t be explained or reproduced. So I think MOST insurance companies would be alright after the snap- but likely they’d adopt specific language to close any possible loop holes or legal issues is my guess.

Ooh. Very good point. It’s technically and scientifically a missing persons case and not a death.
