if you don't know the speed limit, you can still get pulled over for going 50 over. if you don't believe in air, you still can't breath underwater. just cause you don't believe in the punishment, doesn't mean you won't experience it.
both of those are absolutes of which any religion cannot be claimed to be an absolute in any logical conversation. You know for a fact that if you try to breath in water youll have problems. You know for a fact that if you get caught going 50 over by a cop youll get pulled over.
your comparisons are as apples and oranges as it gets.
no one knows absolutely anything covered by religion. We might see in Genesis 1:1 that god created heaven and earth but we dont know that as an absolute. We might see in psalms 9:17 that sinners go to hell but we dont know that as an absolute. It's a belief. The fact you cannot breath in water without having problems is not a belief. It's reproducibly demonstrable. The fact that sinners go to hell is not demonstrable and there is no evidence to support it outside of widely held beliefs based on naught but word of mouth and page.
Except for the fact that speed limits and air are real. You don't have to 'believe' in them.

I always found it strange how someone could be to tightly bound to their own perspective that they think threatening with something a person does not believe in would make them believe in it. No shade towards Christianity but for an atheist this is like saying “you either accept the sky is green or let it fall on you!” Like what?
Because nowadays people are forced to go to church by the government like in the early 17th century. Nowadays we are allowed to do ,mostly at least, what we want to do or say and practice what we wish thanks to the constitution.
