Yeet is the action of throwing/giving something away, Yoink is the action of taking something away. Yoink does sound faster to me though

Perhaps this is due to anticipation of the yeet by the yeeter, yet no anticipation of the yoink by the yoinked?

I think that is exactly what it is, to be yoinked is unexpected to the yoinkey but to be yeeted the yeeter is aware he's about to yote something
