It makes much more sense if you just pretend every single character's secret goal is suddenly to win the title of most stupid and/or useless git in the history of ever. By just employing this one simple trick, I've found season 8 to be much more bearable

True. Sansa as well, usually. Although at least in past seasons everyone wasn't implying or outright saying how useful/smart they supposedly are
