americans have the same reaction to any mass murder as everyone else. It's always the same basic thing, outrage mixed with thoughts and prayers followed by the event being forgotten in a week until the news gets ahold of some random bit of information about it that stirs it up one last time before its never spoken of.

the point of the way the american government was set up how it is was to prevent in equally, oligarchy/monarchy AND mob rule. people have knee jerk reactions to anything that breaks the daily pattern not just awful things and said reactions are neither made in sound mind nor do they go any further than trying to pick out a boogeyman to blame the problem on. Its the same thing as claiming that video games cause violence and that video games need to be banned because of said claim. 2/3s of gun deaths (including mass shootings in this number fyi) are suicides, almost all of the remaining 1/3 is done with illegally obtained guns. pray tell how more laws will stop that?
