They do, you get updates as it's being tested, about which hospital it is sent to, and when it is used.

The Red Cross does this in the US. It's kinda great to know where my blood travels and what happens to it.

Blood donation is one of the biggest markets creat d from the good will of the people,
I have personally donated blood at least 5 times, and even posses a card for it..
But when I needed 14bags of blood for my father's operation, I had to pay 2 month salary for it..
Agree that storage and processing takes money, but still

Not giving away my blood regardless. My body my choice.
