There are other ways of being smart. If you don't enjoy reading, that's how you are, and that's ok.
(I don't know how you escape the void without books though)
If yu aske me, I loved the past me. All happy, energetic, have a lot of physical activities with others. Then my sister introduced reading to me and my life went to becoming addicted to heart wrenching pain, craving for more or else I'll feel like crack addict experiencing withdrawal symptoms in a dark corner and reading mostly useless information that's supposed to be on tests but not actually.
I get the feel, I started reading when I was 4 and never stopped. Most of the times it's just a normal hobby but when I'm stressed I read like a starving man, frantically, it becomes an obsession and I read just to read. (which is kinda boring after a while but I keep doing it). I also have books I love and read whenever I feel like I need them in particular.
However it's only for a few days at a time. I think we should both work on that, so reading can just be a dream and not a chain at our foot.
