So what you're saying is that all men are lying bastards who will protect each other from the consequences of their actions even if it's morally wrong while women are honest and forthcoming even if it means their friend gets hurt?

You are obviously a biased (probably bitter) women and you are reading it wrong. Both men and women lied in this scenario the women said she slept at a friend but no friends can confirm that so she's a lying bitch the difference being the friends men are tight and will look after each other women will not.
Yes, 1 woman lied and the other 10 didn't automatically lie just to be "loyal". 1 man lied and 10 others also lied. So in keeping with what @karboll said, all men are liars in this scenario.
