Students in most public schools get 30 minutes max of recess and 30 minutes for lunch. So by that logic, anyone at a job with a one hour lunch has recess built into their schedule. It’s up to them if they want to use it to run around outside. Although the lack of company owned playgrounds is regrettable.

Yes and no. Asking young elementary kids with developing table manners to sit for 30 minutes is already a lot.

My high school had less than 20 min for lunch

if people (more so children and mid teens) have that small an amount of time to eat they will eat less because they are rushed and they will only eat "the good stuff" because they dont have time to eat anything else. with the average size of a public school the line you have to eat will give most students less than 15 minutes to eat total with the later end of the line getting 10 or 5. It's also not good for your system to rush eat especially at that level.
