Dig deep enough and everyone is dirty. Usually the more impressive or known your accomplishments the darker the dirt. But look around and open your eyes in your very community and you’d see people who make profound impacts and deserve appreciation. What is a statue really but the solidified and frozen virtues and deeds of a person that we feel would be a gift to the future to remember? A statue doesn’t say you were perfect- it says you made an impact on this group and they want to remember the good about you. So who “deserves” a statue? Really no one. But- people are going to keep making them for people they are fond of- and not everyone is going to be fond of the same people. The hero that frees the fly is villain to the spider.

Trump already has many statues, though.
