All the nopes. Just nope. The shape of a mushroom plays in to if it’s safe- parasols should generally be avoided- but that’s only one part of the equation. Many wild mushrooms are only safe to eat after cooking- and at that most tend to be difficult to digest raw. But SO many mushrooms look very much like other dangerous species that even pros make mistakes. Sometimes the only key to tell is something like the smell, or the “firmness” of a part of the mushroom, or wether or not the spacing of gills looks right or the colors are a certain shade vs a close but different shade. You can pick wild mushrooms relatively safely, but I don’t advise taking up the habit without guidance.
