That was me in the arkham games

There is a spot on the stage after Ripper Roo in Crash Bandicoot that I can't get past. The fucking bats keep going pppppppfeeeeewwww and kill me. I know I can spin them, but if I do that, I fall of the ledge. I used to be able to school this level as a kid but now I have no fucking clue how to get past it and I refuse to look up the answer. <_<
