What happens when you let the girls choose the name of their soccer team

When my sister was nine, she and her friends the team the Furious Kumquats. We still have the trophy today.

In college my Dad played for the Pink Flamingos:)

So much better than just naming them after profesional teams

We had a softball team named the Lunachicks (like lunatics) (but girls)

When I was little I was on a boys & girls soccer team and the boys got to name us so we were the chicken nuggets.

I was once the Purple Monkeys. We were twelve and our uniforms were lavender. I actually shouted it out as a joke but then we got the team rosters for Soccerfest (which is what they called the big tournament thing) and there it was: Purple Monkeys.
