this the sort of person if there was an epidemic, they'd complain why the government wasn't doing anything about it

And actually, no it didn't. People still contract the bubonic plague every year.

Really? I'd imagine they get the plague but does it really get to the bubonic stage?

I once knew a guy who got it from stepping in a puddle barefoot (he had a small cut under his big toe). This happened in London and he had to be airlifted to Thailand (something about more affordable Healthcare for foreigners).
