No real reason for this post other than I realized today that despite eating peanuts/peanut butter all my life I had no actual idea what a peanut plant looked like. Figured I'm probably not the only one

Fun fact: Peanuts are actually in the same family as peas and beans and are not related to tree nuts (cashews, almonds, etc.) at all.
